Distinguished Senator Danjuma Tella La’ah

I write this letter with a heart full of respect, gratitude, and sincere concern for a leader whom I have admired for many years. This is not a political attack, nor is it an attempt to diminish your convictions. Rather, it is a heartfelt appeal from a younger brother who believes that your experience, wisdom, and legacy remain indispensable to Southern Kaduna.

Before anything else, permit me to once again express my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dear friend, confidant, and longtime associate, the late Alfred Borg. His death was a painful reminder that life is short and that every season has its purpose. Men may leave this world, but the legacies they build endure. Alfred Borg lived a life of service, generosity, and commitment to humanity. May God continue to comfort you and everyone who mourns him.

Distinguished Senator, your own story is one that cannot be erased from the political history of Southern Kaduna. Long before elective politics, you had already established yourself as a successful entrepreneur, an employer of labour, a philanthropist, and a community builder. You invested in people when there were no cameras. You empowered families when there were no elections. You became a symbol of hope to many who never imagined they would have an opportunity.

When your people called on you to represent them in the Senate, you answered the call with courage and distinction. You served with honour and became one of the most respected voices in the National Assembly. Your courage, independence of mind, and commitment to justice earned you admiration across political divides.

There is no doubt that you have paid your dues.

There is equally no doubt that you deserved fairness during the party primaries. Many people sympathized with you. Many believed events did not unfold in your favour. But history has shown that great leaders are not remembered only for the battles they fought they are remembered for the wisdom they displayed when history demanded sacrifice.

Sir, there comes a time when a statesman must rise above personal disappointment and embrace the bigger picture.

Southern Kaduna needs unity more than division.

Our people need collaboration more than confrontation.

The next generation needs mentors more than political rivals.

Today, the political reality is changing rapidly. Governor Uba Sani continues to consolidate governance across Kaduna State. The emergence of Comrade Jerry Adams as Deputy Governorship Candidate has given Southern Kaduna another opportunity to strengthen its voice within government. At the national level, General Christopher Gwabin Musa has become one of the region’s most influential sons, bringing honour and strategic relevance to Southern Kaduna.

This is not the time for our leaders to stand on opposite sides.

This is the time to close ranks.

This is the time to build bridges.

This is the time to speak with one voice for the progress of our people.

Distinguished Senator, your return to the APC would not be interpreted as surrender. It would be celebrated as an act of statesmanship, reconciliation, and visionary leadership. It would demonstrate that the collective interest of Southern Kaduna is greater than personal ambition.

Consider returning with all your political sons and daughters who are currently contesting under other political parties, including my younger brother, Hon. Francis Mathew Bobai, who won the NDC ticket of Chikun/Kajuru House of Representatives party primary.

I respectfully appeal to you to reach out to him, as well as to Adamu Isaiah Balat of the Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, Hon. Solomon Jacob Maiyaki of the Zangon Kataf State Constituency, and many others who have remained loyal to your political vision.

Please consider this sincere appeal in the interest of our community and its future. I understand that it can be risky to remain under one political roof, but this is a roof that has grown stronger, consolidated its foundation, and offers a platform for greater unity and collective progress.

Your return, alongside those who look up to your leadership, would further strengthen our common cause and help secure a better future for Southern Kaduna.

Your political capital remains intact.

Your credibility remains unquestionable.

Your influence remains enormous.

Nothing can erase your record of service.

Rather than investing further in political division, I humbly appeal that you invest your experience in shaping the future from within. Continue mentoring younger leaders. Continue speaking truth to power. Continue protecting the interests of Southern Kaduna from a position of strength and unity.

Leadership is not always about occupying office. Sometimes it is about preserving a legacy that generations yet unborn will celebrate.

History will remember those who built bridges, not those who widened divisions.

As the Holy Scriptures remind us:

«”Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” — Matthew 5:9»

And again:

«”To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1»

Perhaps this is the season for reconciliation.

Perhaps this is the season to return home.

Perhaps this is the season to unite Southern Kaduna behind a common purpose.

Distinguished Senator, this appeal comes from a heart filled with admiration. I know your strength. I know your courage. I know your love for our people. Those qualities have never been in doubt.

Please consider extending your hand once again to Governor Uba Sani, to Comrade Jerry Adams, and to every son and daughter of Southern Kaduna who desires peace, unity, and progress.

Your legacy is already secure.

Now is the time to crown that legacy with the wisdom of reconciliation.

May Almighty God guide your heart, direct your steps, and grant you the grace to make decisions that will strengthen the unity and future of Southern Kaduna.
