CSGG Commends Gen. Yakubu Gowon for Supporting President Tinubu, Urges Nigerians to Rally Behind Defence Leadership
The Director of Media and Public Affairs of the Citizens Support for Good Governance (CSGG), Victor Mathew Bobai, has commended former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, for his patriotic support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Hon. Bobai made this known while chatting with newsmen in Kaduna, where he described General Gowon’s remarks as a strong show of statesmanship and national unity.
According to him, General Gowon’s recent visit to the President at the State House in Abuja, where he stated that President Tinubu is “doing the best he can all round” to address Nigeria’s political, economic, and security challenges, reflects the confidence of elder statesmen in the current administration.
He noted that such encouragement from respected national leaders strengthens public confidence and supports the government’s ongoing efforts to stabilize the country.
Hon. Bobai further called on well-meaning Nigerians to rally around the hardworking Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, emphasizing that national unity and sustained support for the defence leadership are critical in the fight against insecurity.
He stressed that Nigeria requires collective support for the Armed Forces and the defence establishment to succeed in restoring peace and stability across the country.
