CG Musa Steps Up National Security Drive as Senator Katung Commends Defence Minister’s Commitment to a Safer Nigeria

In a renewed push to strengthen security across the country, the Honourable Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to building a safer and more secure Nigeria through strategic collaboration with key stakeholders.

This assurance came during a high-level meeting in Abuja between the Minister and the Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sunday Marshall Katung, who paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Defence to discuss pressing security concerns affecting communities within his constituency.

Senator Katung described the meeting as productive and strategic, noting that the Defence Minister demonstrated strong leadership and a deep understanding of the complex security challenges confronting not only Kaduna State but the nation as a whole.
According to the Senator, the Defence Minister’s approach goes beyond routine security responses, focusing instead on long-term strategies that prioritize stability, intelligence coordination, and the safety of communities.

“General Musa’s commitment to addressing the security concerns raised is reassuring. His leadership reflects a broader vision for a safer Nigeria where communities can live without fear,” Senator Katung stated.

Observers say the meeting reflects the growing synergy between the National Assembly and the Ministry of Defence under the leadership of Gen. Musa, whose tenure has increasingly been defined by proactive engagement with political leaders, community representatives, and security institutions.
