BOBAI: UBA SANI IS A GIFT TO KADUNA; MAJOR STAKEHOLDERS MUST PUT ASIDE 2031 AMBITIONS AND FOCUS ON 2027
Let us consider Governor Uba Sani as a strategic partner at the federal level and examine his engagement, commitment, and ability to attract opportunities for Kaduna State.
Those agitating against Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu must understand that political disagreement is not the same as patriotism. Our politics must be driven by facts, constructive engagement, and the overall interest of Kaduna State and Nigeria, not by religious manipulation, misinformation, or personal ambition.
President Tinubu’s administration has opened important opportunities for Northern Nigeria, and Kaduna State must not allow partisan bitterness to undermine the benefits of constructive cooperation with the Federal Government. Those seeking political power must present their records, ideas, and achievements rather than use social media to confuse unsuspecting citizens or exploit religious sentiments.
The era of recycling failed political narratives is over. A new season of leadership has begun, and Governor Uba Sani represents an opportunity to consolidate peace, development, inclusion, and strategic engagement with the centre.
As a public affairs analyst, I believe Kaduna State must recognise the value of having a governor who understands the importance of partnership with the Federal Government. Imagine the consequences if Governor Uba Sani had chosen confrontation over cooperation with President Tinubu. Would Kaduna have enjoyed the same opportunities for federal engagement and development? Strategic partnership matters, and the people must appreciate its value.
This is why I appeal to political stakeholders, community leaders, and all those who genuinely desire progress for Kaduna State to put aside calculations about 2031 and concentrate on the task before us: 2027.
Let us put aside personal political ambitions and invest in the Nigerian project. Let us support Governor Uba Sani’s second-term bid based on his record, his strategic thinking, his commitment to peace, and his efforts to restore confidence across the state.
Kaduna needs leadership that brings people together rather than drives them apart. From traditional rulers and community leaders to school communities, market women, farmers, traders, and ordinary citizens, the government must continue to listen, engage, reconcile, and deliver meaningful results.
We must also remember the lessons of our recent political history. When citizens believe that their common patrimony has been taken for granted, they have the right to demand accountability. The experience of the previous administration under Malam Nasir El-Rufai should remind every leader that public office comes with responsibility and that political power is never permanent.
As the saying goes, whatever a person sows, that person will reap. Leadership must be measured by service to the people, respect for their aspirations, and the legacy left behind.
Kaduna State must not return to an era of political division and confrontation. We must consolidate the gains of peace, encourage reconciliation, strengthen community relations, and ensure that every part of the state has a sense of belonging.
I am not suggesting that the opposition should be feared. Democracy thrives on competition, and no responsible political leader should be afraid of scrutiny. My position is that APC stakeholders and supporters must rise to their responsibilities in their respective communities and polling units. We must organise, engage citizens, communicate achievements, and demonstrate why continuity under Governor Uba Sani deserves consideration.
Every stakeholder must return to the grassroots. Every community must participate. Every polling unit must become a centre of constructive engagement.
The 2027 election should be an opportunity for the people of Kaduna State to appreciate the governor’s performance, recognise his efforts, and make an informed decision about the future of their state.
Governor Uba Sani has made sacrifices and pursued strategic partnerships that his supporters believe have helped position Kaduna for further development. We must acknowledge those efforts while continuing to demand accountability, improved security, and tangible results for our people.
Let us reject the voices that thrive on division, religious antagonism, and destructive political speculation. Let us choose dialogue over hostility, development over bitterness, and the collective interest of Kaduna State over individual ambition.
Governor Uba Sani is a gift to Kaduna State—not because any leader is beyond criticism, but because the opportunity for peace, inclusive governance, and constructive federal partnership is too important to squander.
Our task is clear: put aside 2031 calculations, focus on 2027, mobilise responsibly, and give the people the opportunity to decide the future of Kaduna State.
