The Advisory Leadership of the Friends of CG Musa has aligned itself fully with the appointment of the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd) OFR, as Secretary I of the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election.
The alignment was contained in a solidarity communique issued in Abuja on Monday ,shortly after the official press release from the Ministry of Defence announcing the appointment.
In the official release signed by Leah Katung-Babatunde, SA Media to the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Musa had expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the APC for the trust reposed in him, pledging total dedication to the campaign task while reaffirming his resolute commitment to national security.
Reacting to the development, the Advisory Leadership of Friends of CG Musa said it has acknowledged the Ministry’s statement and declared total solidarity with the decision.
According to the Advisory Council, the appointment is a strategic masterstroke that brings immense goodwill and the right energy the presidential campaign truly deserves.
“CG Musa brings goodwill to the campaign. His political integrity, his social strength, his professional energy with a distinguished military background is an added opportunity for the party to focus on a peaceful, free and fair democratic process and ensure victory,” the Advisory Leadership stated.
The group noted that General Musa’s track record of discipline, patriotism and administrative rigour will greatly enhance the strategic coordination of the campaign council, while his assurance that national security remains the highest imperative has further inspired public confidence.
The Advisory Leadership further renewed its unalloyed commitment to work for the reelection bid of Mr President, assuring that all its structures across the 36 states and the FCT are fully mobilized to support the campaign council.
“We commend Mr President for giving CG Musa another opportunity again to serve. This appointment shows Mr President’s wisdom in identifying and trusting tested capacity, loyalty and selfless service,” the statement added.
The group concluded by calling on all party stakeholders, supporters and patriotic Nigerians to remain united behind the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and behind the leadership of General Musa in his new assignment.
